Part II Students

   Abigail Hanby

Alice Rerat

Abi is a student at Jesus College. She is working on the synthesis of the natural chlorinated peptides, microginins 680, 646, and 612, using our lithium amide conjugate addition methodology as the key stereodefining step. Microginins are a class of linear N-acyl lipopetide natural products and are useful bioactive compounds.

   Sophie Newton

Alice Rerat

Sophie is a student at Exeter College who has previously worked
with us as a summer student. For her Part II, she is working on
the asymmetric synthesis of the natural product simplifungin using
our established lithium amide conjugate addition and ‘Trading
N and O’ methodologies.
